The size of the braids matters too. Smaller knotless braids tend to last longer because there is more surface contact with your natural hair. Jumbo braids are faster to install but the style loosens more quickly near the roots.
Your hair care routine after the install makes the biggest difference of all. Clients who moisturise their scalp regularly, sleep with a satin bonnet, and avoid excessive manipulation consistently get 6 to 8 weeks from their install. How to make your knotless braids last longer
Moisturise your scalp every 2 to 3 days using a light oil like jojoba or sweet almond oil. Focus on the roots where new growth appears first.
Sleep with a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase every night. Cotton absorbs moisture from your hair and causes frizz at the roots faster than anything else.
